Just for fun, I decided to gather links to my blog posts made after the previous RSA shows and added some notable things I picked from rereading my blog posts:
- Final notes on RSA 2006 show (NAC is cool, appsec is heating up [ha!], network anomlay detection finally takes off [oops])
- Oh, RSA 2007 (identity as a hot buzzword, data “leak” prevention, endpoint security is “so 2006” [ha-ha!])
- RSA 2008 Summary and Reflections (GRC and DLP dominate the noise, NAC please die already, no market consolidation, “we lost the desktop” [to malware], no cloud yet)
- RSA 2009 Impressions, Part IV or The Rest of RSA 2009 and other posts (cloud security finally appears – but not enough, log standards, vendors start to spread too thin, NAC and anti-spyware vanish, DLP no longer visibile)
- RSA 2010 – Day 4-5 and RSA 2010 – Day 2-3 (big compliance debate, security is hot again [no, really!], marketing becomes worse, SIEM and log management, some vendors just can’t die)
- RSA 2011 Conference Notes (“I love RSA”, cloud is finally big, no mobile, not enough appsec, unify security and compliance, no DLP, sad loser vendors)
- RSA 2013 and Endpoint Agent Re-Emergence (agent-based something, APT and advanced something, virtualization and cloud)
- RSA 2015: Rise of Chaos!! (messed-up vendor hybrids, visibility, advanced everything, some deception, compliance is gone, no IoT security yet)
