My concern has always been comment spam. I use wordpress, and while it's still pretty healthy at defeating spam, it's not perfect.Ironically, I had to login to leave this comment :)So while I tend to agree with you, I'm not sure what can be done about it. I am, of course, open to suggestions.
Hmm, my blog does allow anonymous commenting without a login.... Yes, captchas sometimes miss stuff but I'd rather moderate an occasional spam than annoy people with register/login routine ...
